Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in AutoCAD drafting, civil site design, and construction inspection. This position involves both office design support and field responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of municipal and land development projects from design through completion.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and revise drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Assist engineers in designing stormwater, sanitary, grading, roadway, and utility systems
  • Perform construction inspections for municipal infrastructure and private development projects
  • Monitor and make field decisions on active utility, stormwater, and paving projects, ensuring work aligns with approved plans and specifications
  • Document daily field activity, quantities, testing, and photo records
  • Support project managers with permit coordination, cost estimates, and progress reporting
  • Communicate effectively with municipal officials, contractors, and design engineers to resolve field issues

 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience with municipal or land development projects strongly preferred
  • Field experience sufficient to independently monitor construction progress and verify compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance office and field responsibilities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Position Overview

We are seeking a Professional Civil Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal engineering, land development, utility design, and grant preparation, and be capable of managing projects from concept through construction. This position offers an opportunity to work directly with elected officials, municipal staff, and regulatory agencies while supporting community infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee engineering designs, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Manage and review municipal infrastructure and land development projects, including stormwater, sanitary sewer, grading, and roadway improvements
  • Assist municipalities with funding strategy, grant applications, and reporting (PennDOT MTF, CDBG, CFA, DCED, ARPA, and related programs)
  • Attend council and planning commission meetings as needed to present project updates and coordinate with officials
  • Review developer submissions for municipal compliance and provide written engineering reports
  • Oversee bidding, construction inspection, and contractor coordination for assigned projects
  • Support project budgeting, permitting, and scheduling activities

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 3–10 years of experience in municipal or civil site engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with grant preparation and funding agency coordination strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and report preparation
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
