The following are intended as examples of Glenn Engineering’s involvement in municipal grant funding assistance:

Community Development Block Grants
Glenn Engineering & Associates, Ltd has been obtaining CDBG funding for our clients for 42 years. We currently apply for grant funding for 24 clients yearly. Examples of these clients and their funding are listed below.

Borough of Braddock

Annually Since 1982

$445,000

Grant Funding was utilized for such improvements as catch basins and storm inlet replacement, street reconstruction, storm and sanitary sewer repair and replacement, residential demolition, retaining wall replacement and improvements to park and recreational facilities.

The Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority

Annually Since 1997

$1,850,000

Grant funding was utilized for waterline replacements in various municipalities throughout its service area.

Borough of North Braddock

Annually Since 1999

$280,000

Grant funding was utilized for such improvements as street reconstruction, concrete handicap curb ramp construction, demolition and park and recreation improvements.

Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PennVest)

BOROUGH OF TRAFFORD

          $5.5 Million Grant and Loan                                                       2014-2015

Funding was utilized to replace approximately 14,000 LF of the municipal sanitary sewer system.

 

CITY OF DUQUESNE

Funding is being utilized to provide system wide improvements to the water distribution system including water line replacements and storage tank improvements.

 

BOROUGH OF LIBERTY

$5.0 Million Grant and Loan                                                       2019

Funds were used for rehabilitation of the sewer system. A small water & sewer grant is being used to replace an existing pump station with grant money in 2022.

Farmers Home Administration

BRADDOCK WATER AUTHORITY

            $4.7 Million                                                                              1988-1990

 

Funding was utilized to reconstruct approximately 9.5 miles of the municipal water system including valves, fire hydrants and service connections and construction of a 900,000-water storage tank.
